We are a Martial Arts School that is also a licensed childcare After-School and Summer Camp program facility. We are partnered with Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area Childcare Services Subsidy programs for income based subsidy.
We teach Korean Kuk Sool Hapkido Licensed under the World Kido Federation (one of Korea's Largest Martial Arts Organizations in the world) and Filipino Martial arts blended as a full spectrum system of self defense. We teach culture, respect, dicipline, self respect, self dicipline and much more to enhance the lives of children and young adults. We also believe that "families that kick together, stick together." Our program teaches the drills, sparring, kicks and strikes such as in Karate, kickboxing, boxing, tae kwon do and more. We also teach joint locks and fingure locks, throws, sweeps and take downs as in judo, jujitsu, hwarangdo and more. Along with this, we incorporate the importance of pressure points in healing and in use within the self defense techniques that are taught which makes them even more effective. We also have a large array of weapons including the nunchuks, short sticks, middle size filipino sticks, staff, cane, fans, long sword, double swords, short swords, spear, korean archery and knife throwing and so much more.

Mr. Atherton started karate when he was around 5 years of age. Due to what was available at the time, he studied several different systems including Tae Kwon Do, Bujinkan Martial arts, Kuk Sool Won 1st degree, Kuk Sool Hapkido rd Degree, Ryu Kyu Kempo 1st Degree, Mu Sool Won 3rd Degree, CKM and Filipino Martial arts.
Along with working as a bouncer, he has compiled a program that was taught at Illinois Central College which incorporated Filipino stick and knife, Kuk Sool Hapkido and Commando Krav Maga to help with anti rape and attack defense. Some of the students were military police officers, corrections officers and just regular people that lived in bad areas.
What makes Mr. Atherton have such a love for teaching is the bonds and friendships that are created, as well as knowing what he teaches enhances people's lives and works.

Mr. Anderson has been involved in martial arts since childhood. He was involved in Kuk Sool Won, Mu Sool Won 6th Degreee, American Kickboxing, Karate and Tae Kwon Do as well as Filipino Martial Arts under Mr. Atherton.
Our students start learning the first day they walk into our school, learning not only ettiquette,
but learning effective self defense and respect. We feel that a martial artist with out good ettiquette
is a thug or a bully, we do not want this.
